Abandoned Bunny

This poor bunny was dropped off at a convenience store parking lot in the hot sun. Just left in a box with all his belongings!!!
The staff moved him into the shade thinking someone would be back for him but no one ever came.
I went and got him and I just have to say... this is the sweetest, nicest, most friendliest little guy I have ever met and I have rescued over 200 rabbits in my life.
People can be so cruel... Animals
DO  grieve the loss of their families.

Abandoned pig

A lady bought a house only to discover a pig had been left in a shed out back. He is dangerously obese and both blind and deaf.
This poor guy is not aggressive and is as friendly as can be. He needs a new home... I love his face. I think he is beautiful.
If no one takes him, I will.

Help Ontario's Baby Wildlife

Help Baby Wildlife in Ontario

Sign below to show your support for animals like Rosie!

Rosie a 5-week old baby raccoon whose mother was killed, was left to die because of government regulations. Thousands of helpless young wild animals like Rosie, face a cruel and unnecessary death every spring because of the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources regulations that outlaw responsible and humane help for wildlife, forcing many wildlife rehabilitators out of operation.

The Ministry's heartless advice to people finding an orphan is to "leave the animal there and let nature takes its course."

Help Rosie and thousands of other Ontario orphaned wild animals like those shown here. Please enter your information below to ask Dalton McGuinty to:

*** Honour his promise to reinstate humane help for wildlife

*** Remove Wildlife Rehabilitation from the administrative control of the OMNR where there is a conflict of interest; and

*** Establish a Multi-Stakeholder Advisory Committee which will allow for public input and review of policies and regulations affecting wildlife rehabilitation.

Stories

Like you and I, people are very upset when they discover a baby animal in distress and cannot find help for it. Here are just a few of their stories. We plan to continue to share these with you and to keep you posted on what is being done to change this sad and unacceptable situation in Ontario.

Baby raccoons - click to enlargeThese baby raccoons were found abandoned in a ditch. The rescuer noticed a vehicle on the road that turned out to be a wildlife removal company that advertises "humane removal".

Baby red squirrel - click to enlargeThis baby red squirrel was found still alive in a furnace with its dead mother and siblings.

A quote from a letter: "I live way out in a country setting. This year I found 5 baby raccoons and a dead mother. In trying to find help, I've been told to put them down, many more saying let them die of starvation. Will you please revise this law, so that people can teach their kids that helping sick or orphaned animals is a good life lesson?"
